How to quickly pick strawberries

At first glance, there is nothing difficult about harvesting strawberries quickly. But this berry is so tender that a simple haste in picking can only do harm. Therefore, it is worth using some tips in order to pick the berry without crushing it into porridge.

When to pick - the best berry is harvested in the maximum amount during the season, as a rule, the peak of the strawberry season is June-July. What will help you pick strawberries faster:
- comfortable shoes, as you have to work while squatting or kneeling,
- comfortable light trousers,
- knee pads if you prefer to work on your knees,
- collection time - either early in the morning, while it is not hot, or after 16:00, when the sun is already going down,
- the container should not be too large - it is better to tie it to a belt or hang it around the neck, then it will be possible to wield with both hands when collecting. When you have a lot of strawberries, pour them into a common container, for example, into a bucket or a basin.
- berries are harvested from the same site every other day. If the weather is very hot, you can collect it daily.

Sort strawberries - large hard berries are good for storage, small and soft berries can be processed into Strawberry jam or jam.
