It is very simple to distinguish crayfish by sex: girls have a narrowing after the head, and boys have an even body. Girls' meat is considered tastier, fatter and softer. As a rule, females have slightly more meat than males. Crayfish are sold together - no one bothers to sort them out by gender. But if you yourself caught crayfish, it makes sense to boil the females first. And males before cooking can be well fed - sausage, for example. :)
