The boletus owes its name to the unusual structure of the cap, or rather to its protective upper cover, often strewn with grass and forest litter. The oily, slippery consistency of the film is the main characteristic feature of the oiler and the main reason why it was named so.
Even cooked, this mushroom looks like it is watered with vegetable oil and is slightly slimy. In addition, the color of the mushroom pulp is yellow, like a piece of real butter. Once you see an oil can, you will not confuse it with anything else and immediately remember such a suitable name for it.
