What to do with pilaf?

If the rice is not cooked in pilaf, you need:
1. Check if there is water left in the pilaf to cook the rice.
2. Carefully pour boiling water into the water, if there is no water - 1 glass of water into a 5-liter cauldron.
3. Cover the pilaf tightly with a lid so that the water does not evaporate.
4. Wait 5-10 minutes for the rice to cook.
5. Taste the rice, if cooked, then finish cooking pilaf. If not, repeat all procedures starting from step 1.

Finally: we are used to rice cooking time - 20-25 minutes, but much more is needed for pilaf. Why? - Because for pilaf, much more food and rice itself are put, and for the time to boil (that is, the start of the cooking time countdown) you need not the usual 5-10 minutes, but all 30. Therefore, it takes much more time to cook pilaf.

Don't expect the pilaf to come by itself. Especially if you are not cooking pilaf in a cast-iron pot. And even more so if you mixed the pilaf and the rice ended up at the top. The internal temperature is simply not enough for the rice to reach by itself. Check the water in the same way, top up if necessary and boil for a few minutes. It will be calmer.
